Pilates-therapy was set up in 2004 by Julie Ladd, a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal disorders. Julie knew the benefits of this form of exercise as she already practiced Pilates herself, but at the time there were very few classes available in the Worcester and Malvern area that she felt confident in recommending to her patients. Julie decided to train as an instructor with the renowned Australian Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute (APPI) and so Pilates-Therapy was born. Since that time demand for Pilates has grown hugely as more and more people have become aware of the enormous benefits of the Pilates method and there are now six fully qualified Pilates-Therapy instructors teaching over 35 classes covering Worcester, Malvern and surrounding areas.

People take up Pilates for many reasons from improving general fitness, tone and posture to rehabilitating after illness and injury. We offer a variety of different classes to suit each client, from beginner to advanced levels. Pilates-Therapy is also able to offer specialised classes for rehabilitation taught by Chartered Physiotherapists with experience and medical knowledge of conditions and injuries affecting movement. All Pilates-Therapy classes are small, safe and effective and are taught by well-trained, professional instructors.

We receive many referrals and recommendations from medical professionals such as GP’s, orthopedic surgeons, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and chiropractors who know how much improving your strength and flexibility with Pilates can help with all sorts of physical conditions.
